A full-time on-site role based in Malé, supporting the Head of Department in executing procurement operations, shipment coordination, supplier communications, and inventory control across multiple categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise, process, and track Purchase Orders accurately and within defined timelines
  • Coordinate end-to-end shipment tracking and documentation
  • Communicate proactively with suppliers and principals to confirm orders, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships
  • Follow up on shipment discrepancies and ensure timely resolution with suppliers
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating inventory gaps through proactive planning
  • Maintain accurate shipment, insurance, and costing documentation
  • Coordinate regulatory approvals and compliance requirements related to shipments
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, health, and HACCP standards across procurement activities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, warehouse, clearing, and finance to align procurement with business objectives

 

Key to Succeed in the Role:

  • Familiarity with import/export documentation, customs processes, and food safety standards
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems used in procurement and inventory management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong in numeracy, analytical thinking, and cost awareness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum certificate 3 in Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with 2–4 years of procurement experience in an FMCG or distribution environment.
